Elizabeth Busch

Co-Founder and Partner

A world-class event producer, Elizabeth’s approach is rooted in the belief that balancing creativity with logistical precision—big ideas meet trains running on time—creates amazing events. A strong strategic planner, Elizabeth’s creativity and organization bring communities together and brands to life with meticulous execution. For over a decade, she has produced events for clients such as Fortune, Inc., Compliance Week, New York State, Fast Company, and Baruch College at the CUNY.

Prior to co-founding The Event Studio, Elizabeth founded Black Sheep Studios in 2005, which partnered with Conference Solutions to produce events, which in 2008 became The Event Studio. She previously headed up live events for Fast Company and Inc. magazines, pioneering innovative event design with landmark conferences including RealTime and The Advance. Before joining Fast Company, Elizabeth was on staff at The Atlantic Monthly.

Anne Frey-Mott

Co-Founder and Partner

An expert at architecting details, Anne designs and executes flawless meetings that inspire. She has been in the business for 20 years, overseeing events for clients including Wells Fargo Bank, The NFL Players Association, Credit Suisse First Boston, Sequoia Capital, Summit Partners, Thomas Publishing, Red 7 Media, Inc. and Fast Company magazines, Robert Mondavi, Source Media, Creative Good, Interactive Advertising Bureau and the NYU Departments of Tax, Law & Finance.

Prior to co-founding The Event Studio in 2008, Anne founded Conference Solutions in 1997 and continues to serve as President. Conference Solutions provides venue research, site-selection, and contract-negotiation services. Anne previously served as National Sales Manager for Ritz Carlton San Francisco.

Beckie Jankiewicz

Beckie Jankiewicz

Co-Founder and Partner

Passionate, creative, and solutions-oriented, Beckie thinks outside the box to design and execute events that deliver on her clients’ visions. She is a master multi-tasker with a unique expertise in project- and client-management. For more than 15 years, she has executed impeccable meetings and events for top-tier clients such as ArcSight, an HP Company, Compliance WeekFortune, Bluewolf and the Mobile Marketing Association.

Prior to co-founding The Event Studio in 2008, Beckie served as Director of Events for Fast Company and Inc. magazines, where she produced the annual Inc. 500 Conference and Awards Ceremony. Previously, she was Director of Operations for the Women’s Leadership Exchange, overseeing logistics for the organization’s national, multi-market programs. She has also held event roles at PC Forum, Job Expo International and the SOHO Summit.

Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith

Managing Director

Rebecca’s expertise is in operations, creative problem solving, and project management. She utilizes her client management skills and global event-planning experience to develop a customized approach to all events in order to achieve the client’s vision.

Prior to joining The Event Studio, Rebecca was the Director of Global Events at the Mobile Marketing Association and prior to that, worked at the William J. Clinton Foundation, where she served as an events and marketing consultant, facilitating special projects for various departmental groups as required by the Office of the President.

Tara Mitchell

Tara Mitchell

Senior Director, Operations

Tara develops processes and solutions to facilitate creativity across organizations. She is extremely organized, with keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work across many different aspects of a business. Her philosophy of “process sets you free” has been successfully implemented across different teams and companies.

Tara spent 20+ years in integrated media – concepting and executing multi-platform marketing strategies for such brands as Wired, Mental Floss, The Week, and Fast Company – where she developed longstanding event franchises including the annual SXSW activation, Innovation Uncensored, and the Innovation by Design Awards.

Allie Keller

Senior Event Manager

Allie’s enthusiasm for customer experience has driven her career in registration and client management. In addition to project oversight and logistics, her passion lies in guest relations, customer retention and hotel block management. Her experience in event planning began as a Page at NBCUniversal, followed by a role as Senior Manager of Special Events at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she truly developed her passion for working with people. Prior to joining the team at The Event Studio, Allie was the Executive Relations Manager for Fortune Conferences at Time Inc.

Sophie is a passionate event planner with over 15 years of international experience. She started her career in France where she has created events with the “Chic Parisien”, Sophie has continued her career in California in multiple luxurious hotels as The Sofitel, The Ritz-Carlton and Rosewood Hotels. She is committed to and focused on promoting quality by setting high standards of performance. Problem-solving is her favorite challenge. Her attention to detail means that events go smoothly from concept to completion. Dedicated to excellence, detailed oriented, Sophie will always go above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences for the guests.

Nora Neustadt

Content Director and Senior Event Manager

Nora learned the ropes of event planning with Inc. Magazine, planning the Magazine’s national conferences and regional networking events. While at Inc. she worked onsite managing speakers like Bill Clinton and hosting black tie gala dinners for 2,000. Nora has a passion for solving problems onsite and dedicates long hours at conferences around the world. Before event planning, she worked in the NFL, helping to move the New York Jets and their fans into MetLife stadium. Nora works on overall project execution with a focus on content development and execution.

Kristen Prinzo

Senior Event Manager

I am a Fashion Institute of Technology alum and have lived in New York City for over 20 years. I have worked in events and marketing at some of the world’s most recognizable media brands including Reuters, Fast Company, Food Network Magazine and Martha Stewart. Most recently, I managed the Reuters brand relaunch and transitioned our signature events from live to virtual formats. I do CrossFit at the local gym in Queens, LOVE to cook and try new restaurants with my husband. I am also an active board member of the P.S. 144 Parents Association – where both of my daughters (ages 4 and 5) attend elementary school.

Lindsay has a passion for logistics and project management that has driven her to a career in events. In addition to creative problem-solving, Lindsay enjoys cultivating and managing relationships with clients. Working as a partner and extension to your team, she will ensure support and flawless execution with the many Event Studio events. Prior to joining The Event Studio, Lindsay managed relationships with clients such as Pfizer, Kohl’s Department Stores and General Mills.

Natalie Wright

Throughout her career, Natalie has gone from managing travel accommodations, security, and VIP guests for a team of Netflix executives touring South America for a product launch, to producing tour events with VIP Nation for JayZ & Beyonce, Lana Del Rey, and Slipknot. She has also teamed up on music festivals such as: Outside Lands, Treasure Island Music Festival, Grapes of Rock, and O’Reilly’s Oysterfest. But her diverse experience doesn’t stop there. She has also produced experiential marketing, sporting, political, fundraising, corporate, and media events.

Natalie can be described as a highly motivated individual with a “make it happen” attitude. She loves efficient logistics and is great at problem-solving on the fly.

Alison Davis-Gee

Event Manager
Alison’s passion for project management and customer satisfaction has led her to event planning. Working as an extension of your team, Alison researches programming content and speaker recruitment, creates materials to communicate session and event logistics, communicates progress to key stakeholders to ensure goals are being met, and incorporates feedback to improve the project. She aims to make the event process smooth and utilizes her strength in workflow to keep the project organized and the execution efficient. Prior to event planning, Alison honed her skills in planning, managing, and executing multi-million-dollar projects for two multinational corporations.
Charlie Kern

Event Manager

Charlie started her events career in college where she majored in event management and hospitality at Central Michigan University. During her time at University, she helped plan the National Cherry Festival along with various corporate and non-profit events. Prior to working with the Event Studio, she has worked for the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, Art Walk San Diego, a fine art festival, and as an Event Manager at a DMC in San Diego. She is passionate about creating fun, hospitable environments, exceeding client expectations, and maintaining a high level of integrity, all while holding a smile.

Jackie’s passion for event management began with coordinating high school and college events and has only grown since. After graduating from the University of Missouri, Jackie’s professional career led her to planning and executing luxury corporate and leisure events with The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons brands. Following her time in luxury hotels, Jackie managed programming logistics and fundraising initiatives for a nonprofit focused on the healing journey of combat-injured veterans. Her robust experience across different roles allowed her to master skills like communication, innovation, and attention to detail.

When she found herself taking over the company event calendars and inputting ideas of how things could run smoother at work events, Emily Polson knew a career in event management was right for her. She has a passion for logistics and client relationships. She loves to figure out innovative ways to make the client’s and guest’s experience more than they dreamed it would be. Prior to joining The Event Studio, Emily worked with many organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research and the Merchants of West Wash Park.

Jantell Banks

Jantell discovered a second career in Event Planning while working in the fashion industry, holding various management roles for major luxury retailers in New York City. Always obsessed with elevating the customer experience and bringing brand narratives to life, she made the unique switch from store management to store marketing; where she joined the event marketing team at Saks Fifth Avenue. Responsible for PR events, brand partnership activations and internal programming for the New York flagship store, Jantell got a crash course in events management and operations and never looked back.  Passionate about her craft, she broadened her horizons and leveraged her background to support event operations at the longstanding Eagle’s Talent Speaker’s Bureau, where she worked with key accounts and thought leaders to execute many of their employee engagement events and stakeholder programs.

While navigating through the hospitality industry and establishing a career amongst beautiful properties within the W Hotels brand, Velona realized her passion for event planning. During her time in the world of hotels, event management became second nature to her well-nurtured spirit to host. Serving both external and internal executive level clientele such as her own former general manager, Velona collaboratively created unique and memorable experiences to increase employee engagement as well as create customer loyalty from globally known organizations. Prior to any event arrival, Velona methodically marks off her checklist detailing all the wants and needs of her customers to facilitate travel arrangements and accommodations, manage exclusive dinner entertainment and execute high level productions. Her experience within the industry matched with her humble, go-getter spirit continues to prove why she is a rising star.

Mary Schein

Mary Schein

CHEIF OF STAFF

Mary is a veteran of the United States Army with service from 2002-2006 as an administrative specialist, with one tour to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where she supported over 2,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen. Upon return from Iraq she was selected to serve as secretary to the Battalion Commander, an executive-level officer. Since serving in the military she has completed a degree in Business Administration, worked for ADP as a payroll client service representative, and a virtual assistant. She is detail oriented, client focused and enjoys assisting others. She has gained a love for the event industry while working alongside TES since 2015 supporting the partners as an assistant and the team with various tasks.

Design

Heather is a design guru with a keen eye for detail. For more than a decade, she has contributed to the success of corporate and social events throughout the country. She prides herself on client satisfaction and achieves success through genuine care for her clients, strong communication, and adept organizational skills. Heather, an entrepreneur with a passion for all things creative, founded her own design firm, All Set in 2009. Heather’s enthusiasm for the event industry shows with her work for The Event Studio.

Janice Field

Janice Field

Registration Specialist

Janice discovered her passion for event planning while working as a Pre-K teacher planning events for students and families. Throughout her event management career, Janice has implemented intuitive event registration and mobile app platforms with a focus on user experience. She graduated from St. Francis University with a BA in English with a minor in Communications.

Prior to joining The Event Studio, Janice was the Associate Director, Conferences at E Source. More recently, she has worked on numerous events in the Boulder/Denver area focusing on sustainability, food justice and university sectors.

Jamia Harris

Jamia Harris

Logistics, Sponsor Management

The University of Texas at Austin graduate with a Bachelor of Journalism in Public Relations began her career managing Continuing Education courses for attorneys through The University of Houston Law Foundation. Jamia then moved into the high-tech industry working for Compaq Computers as their Executive Briefing Center Marketing Manager and later Tradeshow Manager managing their large corporate tradeshow presence. She earned her CTSM (Certified Trade Show Marketer) designation during her time at Compaq Computers.

Jamia moved out west to Los Angeles and later the San Francisco Bay area continuing to develop her event management experience and skills by working for small boutique event agencies as an Independent Planner planning and managing large corporate functions for clients such as Genesys Telecommunications, McKesson Pharmaceuticals and Align Technology (creator of Invisalign, the invisible braces). She returned to Texas after meeting her husband where she started her own small-group destination travel company and continues to plan and manage corporate events across a wide-variety of industries.
